Cutting Monitor Plug-in for AutoCAD

The Cutting Monitor Plug-in for AutoCAD is a third-party C++ application developed on the basis of the DirectX standard library. The software is designed to visualize real-time cutting processes, showing material removal from the workpiece together with the motion of the cutting instrument inside the actual working area of the machine.

The system supports process-oriented visualization and makes it possible to observe machining behavior during operation. This allows the user to better understand the relationship between tool movement, workpiece geometry, and cutting results in a simulated environment closely connected to practical manufacturing workflows.

This built-in AutoCAD application is excellent tool for NC data inspection and defining wrong movements of cutting instruments.

The project reflects the CAD/CAM Division’s broader research direction in manufacturing process modelling, engineering visualization, and the development of software tools that bridge digital design environments with production-oriented applications.
