SANDVIC Cutter Modeler Plug-in for AutoCAD

SANDVIC Cutter Modeler is a third-party VBA application for AutoCAD developed on the basis of AutoCAD internal objects. The system was designed to work with Sandvic Coromant cutting instrument data and to support structured digital modelling of cutter configurations within the AutoCAD environment.

The application enables the user to generate instrument geometry by selecting different combinations of cutter and holder. For each cutter, a corresponding array of possible holders is predefined according to Sandvic Coromant specifications, allowing the software to build technically relevant model variations in a clear and controlled workflow.

This is third-party VBA application for AutoCAD built on the base of AutoCAD internal objects. Application operate with Sandvic Coromant data of cutting instruments and enable to built instrument geometry by choosing several combinations of cutter and holder. For each cutter the corresponding array of possible holders were predefined according to Sandvic Coromant.

As part of the broader CAD/CAM research direction, the SANDVIC Cutter Modeler project demonstrates how software-based modelling can simplify engineering selection logic, improve technical consistency, and contribute to the development of specialized digital tools for production-oriented environments.
